When selling a home, the builder, homeowner, or real estate agent, will always do their best to highlight the best features of the home. It’s their job to attract buyers, and to get the best price possible from the sale. As a home inspection company, it is our job to shine a light on issues or areas that you as the buyer need to know about so that you can see the full picture before making a purchasing decision – both the good and the bad. A home inspection will help a buyer make a more informed decision on how much to offer, or whether or not to make an offer at all.
Home inspections aren’t just for buyers, however. Many of our clients are potential sellers who want to know exactly what issues need to be addressed before listing the property for sale. Either way, Five Star Home Inspections is here to help.
We recently completed an inspection for a client who, after searching through dozens of different homes, had finally found a newly constructed home that had met all of their criteria. They wanted to make an offer, but before they did, they wisely scheduled us to perform an inspection.
Our home inspection report gave them the information they needed to request the repair of various issues discovered during our inspection. As a result, they saved potentially thousands of dollars that would have been required to fix these issues on their own later on.
Below are some of the areas we informed them that needed to be considered or addressed. Note that these issues were discovered on a newly constructed home.
Oil stains on driveway
Windows malfunctions
Tub not installed flush to the wall
Buckled siding
Mold in the crawlspace
Floor joist cut
When buying new or old, don’t let the enjoyment and excitement of buying a home turn into a nightmare of unforeseen expenses later on. For a home inspection in Boise or any surrounding area, please give us a call to schedule!
